Greece beat Germany 78-62 in the European basketball championship final, played in Belgrade on Sunday night.
This is Greece's second European title, the previous one earned as hosts in 1987. Sunday's hero for the team was Theodoros Papaloukas, who scored 22 points, including eight in a row. The team. Led by legendary coach Panagiotis Yannakis, seemed to get extra inspiration from a cheering crowd of 19,000, most of them coming from nearby Athens. Congrats, neighbours! European champs in football and basketball- quite impressive! -------------------- "Желая от сърце на спортистите на "Славия" по-високи успехи в масовия спорт, повече победи, титли и рекорди."
